Celebrity style lust: Kendall Jenner

Wednesday 18 February 2015

The envy I have for Kendall Jenner is probably not at a healthy level, but do I care? No. Everything about her is on point lately, her career, her friends, her ex-boyfriend (harry styles anyone?), her apartment and of course her outfits. Well, especially her outfits. Kendall has always been sort of a style inspiration to me even before her absolutely killer knock-out ensembles that's she been rocking lately. I think it may have to do with the fact that her style a couple years back (and the absence of a stylist and endless designer items) was very similar to mine, in the sense that it was very plain and she wore a lot of jeans. And I think her current stylist does a very good job with her street style outfits as an off-duty model because she incorporates elements of her own style while turning up the dial on chic (and expensive). Her style, being kind of basic (in a good way) is also very easy to try and re-create. Now I feel a huge urge to start incorporating leather leggings, pointed boots and long-line coats into my own wardrobe.

And how do you achieve Kendall's street style? I included a guide below to help you get started!

Boots

It's still technically summer here in Aus and absolutely not the weather for it, but I've become obsessed with boots. Heeled, flat, thigh-high, ankle length you name it, I probably want it. I just feel though that you can wear boots with anything, either grunging up your look with a pair of traditional chelsea's or making it sleeker with thigh-high Stuart Weitzman's (in my dreams). My absolute favourite though are the Celine boots, that I first saw on Kendall Jenner. My god, I fell in love. But not with that price tag, unfortunately no amount of analysing could justify that price with my paycheck. Alas, Zara came to the rescue and brought out an almost exact pair (and I have yet to get my hands on them sad face). Fingers crossed I get to own my dream boots but until then I'll live vicariously through my polyvore sets (which I've included down below).

Boyfriend jeans

Sunday 15 February 2015

I would say boyfriend jeans are better than having a boyfriend (then again i am bias, as I have no boyfriend but multiple pairs of said jean). But there is no doubt they are versatile and essential for every wardrobe. The cool relaxed vibe of the jeans makes it look like you spent mere seconds putting your outfit that in reality took way longer than that to put together and who doesn't want that? Below I've put together some outfits both casual and slightly more formal, enjoy!

Until next time (and judging by by lack of posts that could be a year from now) (or not),
